Sprinkles Marie - our first Colonel Potter Cairn Rescue dog

Sprinkes Marie was added to the Stoneridge Engineering Team on March 11, 2006.

Sprinkles was a Cairn Terrier, She was flown from Tennessee and adopted by
us through the kind folks at Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network.
Her responsibilities were to be a canine companion for Rafferty
and to increase employee and spousal happiness. She easily succeeded at both.

Sadly, Sprinkles suffered a sudden aortic clot the previous day
and passed away peacefully on December 17th, 2010 as Sandy and I comforted her.
We treasure the brief time we shared with this sweet little girl.
She is lovingly remembered.

	Who was Sprinkles??
	Sprinkes was a 5 year-old Cairn Terrier when we adopted her. She was very fearful and painfully shy. Even with careful loving care, it took six months before she lifted her tail from its continual tucked position to its normal flag position. She was previously a breeder dog at a puppy mill in Tennessee. Her birthday was May 14th. Thanks to the great folks at Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network and her very loving Foster mom (Karen in Yuma, Arizona), Over the next six months, Sprinkles began learning how to be a confident, free, and happy little dog. Sprinkles didn't have any toys when she was in the puppy mill, so she had to learn how to play. Rafferty helped "show her the ropes". We were extremely fortunate and blessed to be able to adopt this sweet little girl and provide her with her forever home. She and Rafferty became the best of friends and they loved to play together in the house, back yard and outings.
