These larger sculptures were carefully irradiated by passing specimens through the accelerator's electron beam, flipping them over, then passing them through the electron beam once more. The charged sculptures were then discharged either along an edge or in the center of a face to create beautiful two-layer discharge regions.  The result is TWO discharge layers with various amounts of discharges linking the two layers. Although all Lichtenberg Figures vary significantly from sculpture to sculpture, we guarantee that you will be satisfied. For best display results, specimens should be placed on in front of a darker or black background or edge-illuminated by bright light (such as multiple white or colored LED's). We suggest using the DK60x100W (white LED's) or DK60x100B ("electric blue" LED's ) walnut light base below for best results. All bases can be powered from North American/US, UK, EC, or Australian power adapters.

These bases enhance the beauty and exquisite detail of our Style 84  sculptures.  Internally-reflected light bathes the entire sculpture, causing it to glow brightly from within. Larger discharge paths sparkle in almost crystalline fashion while even the most delicate, hair-like discharge tips are clearly visible. Bases are available with Cool White, Natural White, and Electric Blue LED's.
