Why am I selling these books?
While building my personal technical library, I acquired a number of duplicates or otherwise interesting books that weren't in my mainstream areas of interest. I'm now segregating out the "best of the best" to distill the library down to an excellent selection of perhaps 2,000 books. I expect to reduce the size of my technical library by over 4,500 books over the next couple of years. A significant number of titles will be of interest to the High Voltage Engineering, Pulsed Power, Physics, and Tesla research communities.

Where can I find these books?
I'm listing a small set of books on this site, and a much larger set on our store on Amazon.com. Books will be sold on a first come first served basis.  You can find a much larger selection of technical books in our Stoneridge Engineering store on Amazon.com. In either case, once these scarce titles are gone, they may be gone for good!

I also buy technical books
I'm still looking for a few books to round out my personal library. These include certain titles about dielectrics, electrical breakdown, gas discharge phenomena, high voltage engineering, pulsed power, ultrastrong magnetic fields, atmospheric electricity, and antique radio (especially spark radio). Some of these titles are shown below in the "Want List" below. If you have books that you are looking to sell in these areas or have any of these titles please contact me.

I'm also interested in purchasing certain out of print titles if they are in good condition. I often trade these with other collectors and dealers. Please don't throw away your old electrical engineering and physics books - contact me first.

Ordering Information:
If you intend to order using your credit card or an outstanding PayPal balance, please use the shopping cart. NOTE: Although the Shopping Cart will allow you to manually order more than one copy of a title, please do NOT do so. If you would like to use an alternative payment method, please email me  or call me at (630) 964-2699 as soon as possible so that I can temporarily reserve the book for you (for a maximum of 5 business days pending payment). I'll need to know which book(s) you want, your planned payment method, and mailing address, and telephone number. I'll normally get back to you in 24 hours or less with a quote. Also, please contact me if there are other titles that you're searching for or if have any questions regarding the books offered below.

Shipping and Insurance (within the USA):
Except for very heavy books, such as the 1,500+ page Radiotron Designers Handbook, Shipping and Handling via Media Mail will be $5.00/book within the US. S&H for the Radiotron Designers Handbook ("Big Red") and other larger or double volumes will be $8.00 per book. Other shipping methods are available upon request at higher cost. I insure books over $50.00. Illinois customers will be charged 7.75% for Retail Sales Tax.

Shipping and Insurance (International):
I do ship internationally. However, insurance is not always available with many shipment options and Shipping and Handling costs must be quoted on a country by country basis. If you are an international customer, please get a quote from me BEFORE ordering.

US Customers - Payment Options:
If you live within the USA, you can use your credit card to provide payment using our Shopping Cart and PayPal credit card processing via a secure server. US customers can also pay via an International Postal Money Order, or a corporate or personal check after first contacting me to reserve the books. However, if you are paying by check, please allow an additional 5 business days for your check to clear.

International Customers - Payment Options:
International customers can also use the shopping cart to make credit card or PayPal purchases. However, since the S&H costs are for domestic delivery, we may require an adjustment to cover additional international shipping costs. We STRONGLY suggest that you contact us BEFORE you make your purchase so that you can get a quote and an invoice. We can accept payment from international customers via an International Money Order payable in US Dollars and drawn against a US bank, a Western Union Money Transfer, or a bank wire transfer ($16 service fee).

We want our customers to be delighted with their purchases. You have a 14 day inspection period after receiving your book(s). If, for any reason, you are not satisfied, please contact us, either via email or at our business number (630-964-2699) and let us know whether you'd like a refund. Then return the book(s) to us in the same condition, using USPS delivery confirmation (if you live in the US). Once we have received the book(s) in good condition, we'll refund your original purchase price (including original S&H).
