Why am I selling these books?
While I was building my personal technical library, I often acquired duplicates or copies of otherwise interesting books that weren't in my mainstream areas of interest. I'm now segregating out the "best of the best" to distill the library down to an excellent selection of books. I expect to reduce the size of my technical library by over 2,700 books over the next year. A significant number of titles will be of interest to the High Voltage Engineering, Pulsed Power, Physics, and Tesla research communities. Books will be sold on a first come first served basis - and once these are gone, they'll likely be gone for good!
I'm still searching for many technical books
I'm also looking to for certain books to complete my collection. These include a number of titles covering dielectrics, electrical breakdown, gas discharge phenomena, high voltage engineering, pulsed power, ultrastrong magnetic fields, atmospheric electricity, and antique radio (especially spark radio). Some of these titles are shown below in the "Want List" below. If you have books that you are looking to sell in these areas or have any of these titles please contact us. I also am interested in purchasing technical books which are in good condition, since I often trade with other collectors and dealers. Don't throw away your old electrical engineering and physics books - please contact me first.
Ordering Information:
Although the Shopping Card will allow you to order more than one copy of a book, please do NOT so so. If you intend to order using your credit card or an outstanding PayPal balance, use the shopping cart. If you plan to use an alternative payment method, please email me or call me at (630) 964-2699 as soon as possible so that I can temporarily reserve the book for you (for a maximum of 10 days pending payment). I'll need to know which book(s) you want, your planned payment method, and mailing address, and telephone number. I'll normally get back to you in 24 hours or less with a quote. Also, please contact me if there are other titles that you're searching for or if have any questions regarding the books offered below.
Shipping and Insurance (within the USA):
Except for very heavy books, such as the 1500 page Radiotron Designers Handbook, Shipping and Handling to addresses within the continental United States will be $5.00/book. S&H for the Radiotron Designers Handbook ("Big Red") and other larger or double volumes will be $8.00 per book. I normally ship using US Postal Service Media Mail. Other shipping methods are available upon request at possibly higher cost. Insurance is strongly recommended for books over $25.00, and I use delivery confirmation on domestic orders greater than $30.00.
Shipping and Insurance (International):
I ship internationally. However, insurance is not always with many shipment options and S&H costs must be quoted on a country by country basis.
US Customers - Payment Options:
If you live within the USA, you can use your credit card to provide payment using our Shopping Cart. Customers have the choice of paying from an outstanding PayPal balance or via their credit cards. Purchases are safely processed via PayPal, providing a secure and convenient transaction. US customers can also pay via an International Postal Money Order, or a corporate or personal check after first contacting me to reserve the books. However, if you are paying by check, please allow an additional 5 business days for your check to clear.
International Customers - Payment Options:
International customers can also use the shopping cart to make credit card or PayPal purchases. However, since the S&H costs are for domestic delivery, we may require an adjustment to cover additional international shipping costs. We suggest that you contact us BEFORE you make your purchase so that you can get a quote and an invoice. We also accept payment from international customers via an International Money Order payable in US Dollars and drawn against a US bank, a Western Union Money Transfer, or a bank wire transfer ($10 service fee).
